Time to talk day 2026

Time to talk day takes place on 05 February 2026. It encourages open conversations about mental health in workplaces, communities, and at home. Read our article for more.

Why talking matters

Time to talk day is designed to spark conversations about mental health nationally. Every year Mind and Rethink Mental Illness run Time to talk day to promote mental health awareness. It is a day aimed at reducing mental health stigma by encouraging open dialogues throughout all walks of life, including our schools, workplaces, communities, and homes.

Through talking about our mental health experiences and difficulties, we can raise greater awareness and understanding of mental health. It also helps to remove the stigma in our society and can help improve the mental wellbeing of those around us and ourselves.

For more information on the campaign and the resources, see Mind’s website.

Join our hybrid event to address the factors contributing to poor mental health with young people.

Healthwatch Kensington & Chelsea and Healthwatch Westminster, alongside Strengthening Kensington Youth Families (SKYF) are collaborating on a joint project that follows on from the Young People’s Mental Health work we carried out in 2023.

This year’s project aims to co-produce healthy, preventive measures that address the key factors contributing to poor mental health, as highlighted in our 2023 report, and to support prevention among young people aged 18-25 years.

Interested in taking part?

We will be hosting a hybrid focus group on Friday 13 February 2026, 5pm – 7:30pm to co-produce ideas with young people on preventing mental health crises.

There will be a raffle and one participant from each borough will win a £50 Love2Shop voucher as a Thank You for volunteering their time.
