We are piloting an exciting new student engagement project with the North West London Schools Research Network

Healthwatch Central West London will collaborate with the North West London Schools Research Network to pilot a new student engagement project in schools across North West London.

The project will gather insights into the health-related needs and interests of local young people. Working alongside the Schools Research Network, we have developed an integrated engagement approach to speak to local young people about the health and wellbeing issues that matter to them.

Alex Weston, Youth Project Worker at Healthwatch CWL and the co-ordinator of our Young Healthwatch group, said:

“I’m thrilled to be collaborating with the North West London Schools Research Network.

Since 2019, I’ve been working with a team of dedicated young volunteers to coordinate successful engagement projects with young people in Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster. Our volunteers are committed to listening to young people about their experiences of managing mental health and wellbeing and their encounters with local support services.

We will draw on this expertise and the fantastic resources and skills within the Schools Research Network to build a deep understanding of what’s going on for local students.

We are beginning to contact schools who have signed up to be a part of this work, and hope more will sign up in the coming weeks.”
