Some GP practices and pharmacies will be closed from 26-28 August, or offering reduced hours. This means it's important to plan ahead for health needs such as prescriptions. Your GP practice should have information about their bank holiday opening hours on their website.

Seeing a pharmacist is often a quick and easy way to resolve minor health concerns, and many pharmacists can provide confidential consultations. You can use this list of services to check which pharmacies are opening over the long weekend, or alternatively use the NHS Find a Pharmacy site

If you require prescription medication, make sure you have enough medication to last over the bank holiday.

The NHS 111 online and telephone service will remain open 24/7. If you have urgent medical or dental needs, use this service to speak to a trained advisor and get information about what to do next. If you experience a medical emergency, call 999 for urgent treatment.
