Community events to mark the five year anniversary of the Grenfell Tower Fire

Today marks the five year anniversary of the Grenfell Tower fire. This is an important day for our community and many local groups have organised events of commemoration and remembrance.

If you would like to join with other members of our community to mark this important anniversary, we have collected the details of some of the events and activities being held today.

Multi-faith Memorial Service and Silent Walk

When? Service: 4pm; Silent Walk: 6pm

Where? Service: the base of Grenfell Tower, with access via Lancaster Green; Silent Walk: Notting Hill Methodist Church

Grenfell United are holding a multi-faith memorial service at the base of Grenfell Tower. All members of the community are invited to remember the 72 people who sadly lost their lives. People attending can wear something green in a show of solidarity. The Silent Walk will begin from Notting Hill Methodist Church after the service.

Trees4Grenfell

When? 2pm-10pm

Where: Hope Gardens, Maxila Walk, W10 6SW

Trees4Grenfell are holding a remembrance session at Hope Gardens throughout the afternoon. People can come along for afternoon tea and refreshments, and a range of spoken word poetry and music.

Dalgarno Trust

When? 8am-9pm

Where? 1 Webb Close, Dalgarno Way, W10 5QB

The Dalgarno Trust are opening their doors between 8am and 9pm for people to reflect and remember together.

The Curve Community Centre

When? 10am-4pm

Where? 10 Bard Rd, London W10 6TH

The Curve will be distributing green scarves and t-shirts to mark the five year anniversary of the Grenfell Tower fire between 10am and 4pm. Local people are invited to come and collect a scarf or t-shirt before heading to the memorial service and Silent Walk.

North Kensington Youth and Community Festival

When? 12pm-6pm, 25th June 2022

Where? Westway Sports Centre

Youth Action Alliance are organising a festival for local people on the 25th June. The festival is free, with activities for all, including music, food, sports, science, arts and crafts, and more.
